Thanks for this. It’s exactly what I needed it. I now used to it to extend the single-post sidebar with extra blocks depending on how many words the post is. Cheers

nice plugin! i am seaching for a plugin to count the strokes in a post. is it possible to modify you plugin? perhaps you would send an email. thank you.

Thanks for the plugin.

Seems to be off by a few words. It’s counting 94 in a post where I have 104.
Any ideas on that?

Great Plugin, I use it on my blog ! Nice feature would be to set a minimum number of words and if the number of words in the post is lower, then the displayed number of words is red fontcolor. So the writer can see he does not have minimum words in the post.

Just what I needed… I can’t begin to understand some of the other plugins out there, that do things like count all the words in every post and/or comment in your blog ever… Why would I want to know that? This plugin, on the other hand, solves a real problem. (I want to set up a blog where people get to post only so many words… I figure “limited post size” + “post expiration date” + “post category and tags” + “moderation of posts from new authors” = “poor man’s classified ad system”.) For now manual word counting will have to do. If only I can find post expiration date plugins worth using… That’s my next stop.
